RottingChris MOSAIC promises what the name is telling you. It's like a puzzle of many influences and ideas, but also with a sacred flame that's burning in their hearts. Old Man's Wyntar is highly recommended and a soundtrack for the cold seasons.

Find a German review in our printed magazine: www.waldhalla.com/waldhalla-webstore/ Favorite track: Silver Nights.

Artemis Extremely well crafted experimental black metal. I love this album and can't stop coming back to it. Every listen a different riff or aspect of the music catches my attention. I love it. 4.5/5

Ädäm To date, this is definitely the best creation of Mosaic, where all their experiences have been incorporated. And winter themed music always sounds good in my ears. Well done! Favorite track: Onset of Wyntar.

Erwache! Steige herab knechte das Leben und hülle es unter deinem Mantel -------------------------------- TRANSLATION -------------------------------- Oh Geherre! So you sit atop your mountain, dead asleep Oh Geherre! Time's drawing nearer - descend - as nature's tired Oh Geherre! What's that look? Awake! Descend - subjugate life and cover it with your coat

Welcome Boreas in my reich. Come Boreas sit down at my cold fire. The glimmer, the smoke unseen... Boreas my old friend, the time has come we have to leave. A deep sleep falls over the land. The rivers stilled - trees dead, the nature bounded. With my breath the world becomes white. When my hands reach the earth everything dies. Voices of the woods hushes away. A dead valley hush awake Come Boreas unleash your snowbreath. In here and now. Now the nature sleeps. In here and now. Here we stand like trees in winter. The magic of the trees in winter unknown TRANSLATION Commotion in the deepest North, high up in the realms of perpetual snow. The frosty companion is descending from the hightest top down toward the bottom of the mountain where his fortification awaits the arrival. Stiring the fires, the icy halls radiate in deepest blue; it is cold fires Father Frost fans for an old friend solely.

TRANSLATION The acre shines white and cold. The sky is forsaken and vast. Jackdaws are circling above the pond, while hunters withdraw from the forest. A silence abides in the treetops. A fiery glow escapes from the huts. From a distance, sleighs are jingling few and far between and slowly an ashen moon ascends. A deer gently bleeds to death at the marge, and ravens purl in bloody kennels. Shivering reeds yellow and stringy. Frost, smoke, and a step in empty holt.
4.
Snowscape 03:21
TRANSLATION Thus sheathes white splendour the lands. Oh, how delightful the glisten. Watching the ever so white giving birth to all the colours is but bliss. Appearances are deceitful though. As Boreas covers the world in white gloom.
5.
White Gloom 11:28
WHITE GLOOM *inspired by the winter poetry of Georg Trakl* Drowned in a world of one colour | Announced by a thousand trumpets in the sky, Til no more bells chime Avalanche! Between the woods and frozen lakes - Boreas whispers: The world shall be covered in white gloom Boreas whispers: Hide the hills and hide the woods, the rivers and the seas snow, ice and rime Avalanche! A silence dwells in the black Tree-TOps, Slowly rises the moon the acre shines so white and cold On a stony hill - a cold body - forgotten and silent is melting away in the silver waves Oh! bitter moon your gloomy shelter Oh! black frost the ground so hard - the air so bitter Oh! old man – inhale my cold breath frost and smoke - A step in the empty grove A monk that fades away - in the darkness soft and dark The priests escorts the dead - man In the darkness the wind still blows Through old shafts which are buried The palate tastest the frost strong spice The tree of grace is flowering in silver See the pure light - The glowing of white gloom
6.
TRANSLATION Behold the frosty bodies! Blue and dead - In the shade of the tree, their lids iced up Thus wilt night and star - for as long as winter reigns Nothing shall be green here - for as long as winter reigns Boreas sends frost and snow - for as long as winter reigns The old man averts his gaze - for as long as winter reigns Everything blanketed - under a white cerecloth everything blanketed.

SILENT WORLD, HOLY AWE *based on a poem written bei Freiherr Jospeh von Eichendorff* The market and the streets stand still and ghostly. each house in all the silence glows. along the lanes my thoughts come with me. as the arcane spirit ever grows In every window colours of faith a-gleam. A thousand children’s silent dream Now I wander beyond the wall out to where the fields are free the towering beauty to the holy awe to the grand and silent world The stars move round and all the spheres I see In that solitude of snow the time of grace I know Oh Silent Awe! Oh Holy World! Oh Silent World! Oh Holy Awe!

VOM ERSTEN SCHNEE *a tale of mother hulda* Schau wie Flocken jagen! wo kommt denn all der Schnee nur her? TRANSLATION: Can you see the flakes are rushing? But from where comes the snow? That, oh child, I shall tell you: Mother Hulda shakes up the bed from her skyey window. She has a big house between the clouds above all spruce and nice inside, like everything's of silver gleam it stands a large bed in there, Mother Hulda's room all blazoned is the linen the downs so white and pure as if of the swan's back and once sleep has rubbed from her eyes she shakes the bed so plain that feathers fly around thus she covers field and meadow in white feathery wool they'll sleep in deepest calm Thank thee, Mother Hulda THE WIND: Ohohoho hahaha. Courages one. What do you seek in my windy realms, little human? THR SACRED GHOST Oh star's and snow's blossom. Spirit and time and eternity. THE GRIM REAPER: I am Death... THE SECRET STRANGER: ..So you are the one for me. You favour no one; all are equal before you. THE GRIM REAPER: Why do you humans deem to be exceptions? Minerals weather, grass withers, blossoms fall down, animals decompose. Death is nature's coup de grâce. I will be heard of again. Who calls me a friend will not be wanting. The children of the poor are closest to death, how true. Indeed, who knows their master knows no reason for worry.

My little horse must think it queer To stop without a farmhouse near Between the woods and frozen lake The darkest evening of the year. He gives his harness bells a shake To ask if there is some mistake. The only other sound’s the sweep Of easy wind and downy flake. The woods are lovely, dark and deep, But I have promises to keep, And miles to go before I sleep, And miles to go before I sleep. "An homage to Winter in conception, an explosion of expressions in perception, OLD MAN'S WYNTAR is an astonishing masterpiece of soundscaping. Its highly complex structure takes the listener on a many-faceted journey into the deepest realms of ice, snow, and darkness. With a unique mix of Black Metal, Avantgarde, Neofolk, Ambient, Neue Deutsche Todeskunst and many other elements and influences, it lures the mind and beckons to venture beyond the borders of its usual conversance. The course of the EP is shapeshifting between incantation, melancholy, desperation, fierce bitterness, harsh coldness and enticing tranquility. Its frostbitten, sharp sound entwines and channels the lyrical concept and musical fabric in towering manner toward the ecstasy of white, hostile solitude. OLD MAN'S WYNTAR's grave repercussions echo forth a long time after its last note has died away.

This very special, extended version finally turns the EP into the treat of a full-length. Enhanced with an additional chapter, the total playing time is advanced to an incredible 76 minutes of allurement that will see the last unfrozen souls enchanted. Within these new chapter, there are various guest appearances - the german neoclassic duo Nachtreich (Official) contributed some string parts, Scorpios Androctonus (Crimson Moon, Ex-MELECHESH), Erik Gärdefors (Grift), Leshiyas (Vivus Humare), Barth (OUR SURVIVAL DEPENDS ON US), as well as E.H. (Wolfhetan) sharpening a true MOSAIC.

All music was carefully crafted at the House of Inkantation. For the mastering, none other than Patrick W. Engel (TEMPLE OF DISHARMONY) put the final touches on this unique winter journey.

Complete with a thick A5 book, reworked and extended artwork and 28page booklet, incl. an in depth interview as well as full English translations of all lyrics for the first time ever.

The new frontcover was crafted by the russian artist Alex Morkh Shadrin of Nether Temple Design."
