Wenn auch alles zerbricht, wird es dennnoch zu Licht
und du wirst nun brennen, deinen Geist bekennen.

Tiefer, tiefer, tiefer hinein nach innen, schrei ich,
durch dichte Stimmen längst verhallte Klagen,
schrei ich weiter - in die Irre! Ins Weltendunkel!
Durch den Nordwaldrauche, bricht der Mutter alter Glaube.
Denn der Geist kennt keinen Tod.
